Meet The Arthropods KS 2/3



A live arthropod science show

Meet live arthropods including shore crabs, giant millipedes, centipedes, scorpions and spiders.

80% of all animal species are Arthropods

Insects – Arachnids - Crustaceans - Myriapods

Legs: The 1.3 million species all have similar legs.

Skeleton: They all have an exoskeleton that does not grow.

Habitats: They can be found in most habitats.

Adaptation: They are all suited to their environment.

Feeding: Between them they eat a vast range of foods.

Will include a selection of native and non-native species and will usually include:

Praying Mantis
Stick insects
Cockroaches
Spider
Scorpions
Whip Scorpions
Woodlice
Shore crabs
African and British millipedes
Giant and British Centipedes


One class all day or up to six sessions of one or two classes in your hall
