Explore the seashore in your school!

A display of seashore specimens will be set up in your
hall (not lunch hall) or a spare classroom and will include:

 live crabs, shrimps and periwinkles.

A range of empty seashells including:

Cockles

Mussels

Limpets

Slipper limpets

Oysters

Topshells

Whelks

Tellins

Dog whelks

Other seashore objects will include:

Whelk egg cases, Mermaid's purses, exoskeletons of crabs, seaweed
and
the great smell of the seashore.

As many classes as you like can visit the seashore over a day or a morning.

Timings will depend on how many classes visit

Please note:  You will need to supply the tables or other suitable furniture on which to display the specimens.

As aquatic animals are included, Explore the Seashore is only available to schools in Essex and Suffolk (I am based in Essex).
