Martin Rapley FRES FBNA - The Bug Man

Working with schools and wildlife for over 30 years

For 15 years Martin was Education Officer for Essex Wildlife Trust working at Fingringhoe Wick Conservation Centre and nature reserve in Essex. 

He developed an extensive programme of school science days, youth group days and weekend/school holiday wildlife discovery days which resulted in 8000 children being taught about wildlife each year.

In 2003 Martin left this post to set up 

Martin Rapley - Experience Science Live - The Bug Man.

He now teaches around 40,000 children each year about wildlife.

Martin is a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and a 

Fellow of the British Naturalists' Association.

As well as presenting his own shows Martin has presented the Animal Vision Show at the Natural History Museum in London and has presented shows/talks at the Science Museum, Kew Gardens,  RHS Wisley, Down House, The Lost Gardens of  Heligan and many other venues.
